Flamenco guitar Manuel Reyes 1999

This flamenco guitar was made by the master luthier Manuel Reyes in 1999. His guitars are regarded as pieces of work, and him, as one of the greatest luthiers ever. In fact, his guitars have been (and are) played by some of the best performers ever: Vicente Amigo, Tomatito, Jose Luis Postigo, Manolo Franco, and so many others.

The Woods of this guitar are marvellous. The German spruce top has got a perfectly even and straight grain. The back and sides are made of cypress, also with a high-quality straight grain. The finishes are the typical in Manuel Reyes´ work: simple but elegant.

The sound of this guitar is extraordinary. The basses are unbelievably strong and deep, the trebles are sweet and clear, with an unmatchable sustain and projection. The harmonics it releases are truly magic. The “rasgueos” whit this guitar are just unbeatable: crystal-clear, broken and bright, with that particular “dry” and “hollow” sound, typical in the best flamenco guitars.

This flamenco guitar has got medium tension, and a perfect height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard, providing the guitarist with a high degree of comfort for both hands, as well as an easy performance.

Its condition is excellent and completely original, without any cracks or repairs whatsoever.
