With this new classical guitar model, we aim to contribute to the market a Spanish classical guitar, built in Spain, economical and of quality that meets the same demands, in terms of adjustments and comfort, that we may have regarding a first-class guitar.
This model, like one of our best-selling models, is built from an original Marcelo Barbero guitar, one of the greatest guitar makers in history, respecting and maintaining the same measurements, scale, size, and aesthetics as the original instrument. And how have we managed to reduce the cost so much, compared to the other model, if they are practically the same? Well, only with the wood!
The woods used for its construction are of the highest quality, solid canadian cedar with a straight and uniform grain, and laminated Indian rosewood for the sides and back. This, which at first glance might seem like a downside, becomes a positive if we consider that the wood that could be offered by a guitar with solid sides and back for under a thousand euros has a much lower quality than what we achieve with the laminating process, being much more consistent with the latter and providing a higher sound quality and significantly improving the responsiveness.
The combination of cedar and Palosanto provides us with a guitar with a bright, clear, and sharp tone, with superior projection that make it a true concert instrument with a sound that reminds us of Andrés Segovia or John Williams, masters who used this combination of woods in most of their concerts and recordings throughout their careers. The main difference compared to the flamenco model lies in the cleanliness of its sound, while the flamenco guitarist seeks a rough and broken tone in the bass strings, the classical guitarist is extremely meticulous about the cleanliness and neatness of the notes.
For its elaboration, artisanal and mechanical processes are used, allowing to reduce the production time and therefore the final price of the instrument. This way, we manage to create an instrument of the highest category at a very economical price that has revolutionized the current market of semi-artisan classical guitar.
Unfortunately, it is often taken for granted that a guitar in this price range will not be comfortable, and this is not the case. At Solera Flamenca, we have supervised and adjusted the height of each and every one of this series of guitars to offer the maximum excellence in terms of pulsation and comfort in playing. For this, we deliver the guitar with a standard bone and another one with a professional adjustment based on our criterion forged through more than 20 years of experience and corroborated by the best craftsmen and flamenco and classical guitarists of today.
Its sound far exceeds what could be expected from a guitar of this price to the point that, after trying many guitars and different models, we have come to the conclusion that we are probably facing the best semi-professional classical guitar on the market for under a thousand euros, with a powerful, clear sound and a beautiful tone that surprises from the first moment and that could well compete with guitars that double its price.
We are very pleased to be able to offer this new classical guitar model and thus fill that gap that we had always had at Solera Flamenca for under €1000 and that you had referred to us so many times.
