This flamenco guitar has been made by the great luthier Francisco Barba in 1982. He is regarded as one of the best guitar makers ever and his guitars have been (and are) praised and used by some of the best guitarists in the world: Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela… and so many others.
This flamenco guitar was made with great woods, difficult to obtain nowadays. The top are made of german spruce has a totally straight and even grain, which is quite accentuated. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, whose beauty and quality are simply magnificent.
The sound is just marvellous, and its bass stops, deep and with a hollow and hoarse timbre, typical of the best flamenco guitars. The trebles are really difficult to describe: their sustain is endless, and the harmonics emitted all along the fingerboard go beyond anything imaginable. It is really hard to make a guitar with this combination of bass stops and trebles, as they could be regarded as diametrically opposite. As a result, an instrument gathering these sound features is something which, after the experience acquired over the years, allows us to appreciate the true piece of work we are admiring.
The tension is medium, and the height of the strings in saddle and fingerboard is reduced, which makes this guitar really comfortable for both hands.
The condition of this guitar is excellent and completely original, without any crack or repair whatsoever.
