Flamenco guitar Felipe Conde Crespo 2024 nº78

This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Felipe Conde Crespo, 2024, son of Felipe Conde and heir of one of the most important firms in guitar history: Hermanos Conde. This young luthier has proved he is talented enough, to say the least, for guitar making. His intruments have a careful and down-to-detail making, with a sound of the highest quality, keeping their timbre and strength typical of this firm, but also instilling his distinctive personality. There is no doubt Felipe Conde Crespo gathers all qualities necessary in order to be one the best guitar makers in Spain, and the perfect heir for the firm he represents. Those qualities are devotion and love for his work, music and the guitar.

The wood used for the construction of this flamenco guitar is German spruce for the top and pauferro for the back and sides. The top has a spectacular grain, filled with a counter-grain that provides a visually beautiful effect. The back and sides are constructed of pauferro, with a light tone and exceptional quality and beauty.

The sound of this flamenco guitar is sublime. Additionally, its tone reminds us a lot of the sound of the guitar of maestro Paco de Lucia, built with the same combination of woods and template as this one. This guitar presents an aged sound, well-developed, and with that ‘bouquet’ that the best flamenco guitars acquire over the years. Achieving to combine these acoustic characteristics in a new guitar is a task that entails great difficulty, which this luthier has managed to solve in an outstanding manner.

The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium, and the height of strings in saddle and fingerboard is reduced. The fluidity with which the left hand works across the fingerboard together with the comfort of the touch of the right hand, thanks to a marked ‘rebound effect’, make it one of the most comfortable guitars we have tried over the years.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is brand new.
