This flamenco guitar was built by the prestigious Madrid firm Hermanos Conde in 1995. After working together for many years at Calle Gravina 7, Mariano Conde decided to part ways professionally with his brother Faustino and open his own workshop on Calle Felipe V in Madrid, where he passed on to his sons, Mariano and Felipe Conde, the art and secrets of the renowned firm’s guitar-making tradition. They continued to run the workshop until the end of 2010.

The woods used in the construction of this guitar are of sublime quality and beauty. The soundboard is made of German spruce, displaying a highly pronounced, straight and uniform grain that attests to its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of rosewood, with an extraordinary grain of remarkable beauty. The finishes are typical of Hermanos Conde, with nitrocellulose lacquer.

This rosewood flamenco guitar model is one of the firm’s most sought-after and highly prized instruments on the pre-owned guitar market. At the time, these guitars were particularly desirable, largely because some of the greatest guitarists of the era played instruments of these characteristics. Its sound is unmistakably that of a concert guitar, offering excellent projection, volume and tonal richness, while retaining the character and qualities of the most traditional flamenco guitar. Guitars of this kind are becoming increasingly difficult to find and have become true hidden gems that surface only on rare occasions. For us, discovering an example like this is always something very special, and we are truly delighted to be able to add it to our selection.

The playability of this flamenco guitar is exceptionally comfortable, with a very well-adjusted and balanced string height at both the fingerboard and saddle, providing the guitarist with outstanding comfort in both hands and remarkable ease of playing.

The guitar is in excellent condition and remains entirely original. It presents two small marks on the back and one on the side (see attached images) which may appear to be cracks at first glance, but they do not penetrate through the wood and require no repair whatsoever.
