Flamenco guitar Hermanos Conde 2011 Ex-Juanito Makandé

This flamenco guitar was made by the firm Hermanos Conde from Gravina nº7 street, Madrid in 2011.

This flamenco guitar was built with excellent woods. The top is made of german spruce, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood of outstanding beauty and quality, with a straight grain and beautiful tones.

This flamenco guitar was not made by any member of the Conde family. Ever since Faustino Conde passed, and especially in the last stage, just before it closed down, guitars from the “Hermanos Conde” store, located in Gravina Street, were made by different craftsmen, and commissioned directly by Faustino´s widow. Unfortunately, very few people were aware of it back then, so they paid large sums of money for an instrument whose real “Hermanos Conde” quality hallmark was only the signature. Nevertheless, it does not mean these guitars were low-quality, but their prices did not denifitely match with the quality level, regarding the quality of the instruments at present, with far more competitive prices.

This flamenco guitar is such a balanced instrument, belonging to Juanito Makandé, one of the most influential and renowned artists and composers in this country. With this instrument he has offered plenty of concerts and recordings, and it is certainly a really amusing and versatile instrument, which is particularly fit for the accompaniment of the singing and dacing, because of its tone clarity and comfort.

This flamenco guitar has got medium tension, and a perfect height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard, providing the guitarist with a high degree of comfort for both hands, as well as an easy performance.

The condition of this guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
