This classical guitar was built by the luthier Jerónimo Peña Fernández from Marmolejo (Jaén) in 1997. This master luthier has received numerous awards and recognitions for his work, and his guitars have been used by concert artists such as Andrés Segovia and Manolo Franco.

Originally built as a classical guitar, this instrument has been carefully adjusted to a flamenco setup, achieving a truly exceptional result both in comfort and sonic response. Thanks to this adjustment, the guitar offers a faster and more direct feel, a very comfortable action and a fully flamenco character, while maintaining all the tonal richness, depth and craftsmanship characteristic of this maker.

The woods used for this guitar are of the highest possible quality. The soundboard is made from Canadian cedar, featuring a very pronounced, straight and uniform grain that reflects its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made from Indian rosewood with straight grain patterns and beautiful tonal shades that give the instrument an extraordinary elegance and visual presence. The overall craftsmanship, as well as the carving work on the bridge and headstock, are extremely elaborate and carefully executed down to the smallest detail, an unmistakable hallmark of this master luthier since his beginnings.

The sound of this flamenco guitar is truly remarkable and possesses a deeply flamenco character. It stands out for its huge projection, fast response and a dry, bright and lively tone, comparable to that of a guitar originally built as a flamenco instrument. The basses are powerful, deep and well defined, while the trebles respond with clarity, brightness and strong presence.
