This flamenco guitar was made by Jesús Bellido in 2017. Jesús started working as a luthier when he was 10 years old, in Manuel Bellido´s workshop (his father and mentor). Seven years later, aged 17, he started making guitars using his own name. His guitars are really easy to play, and they are provided with a surprising sound quality, and a very personal timbre, which makes it easy to tell them from his father´s instruments.
This flamenco guitar was built with excellent woods. The top is made of german spruce, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood of outstanding beauty and quality, with a straight grain and beautiful tones.
This flamenco guitar belongs to the second period of the artisan as a guitar maker. Jesus Bellido has developed an internal bracing system that makes the sound box more rigid and this is reflected acoustically with an increase in sustain and the quality and quantity of the harmonics. From strident and powerful bass to clean and clear treble, Jesús Bellido’s guitars maintain the character and timbre which is characteristic of the guitars made by his father José López Bellido. This is a sound which, personally, has always captivated us because it is both traditional and flamenco and it is, without doubt, one of the most representative of the school of Granada.
The tension of the guitar is medium, and the height of the strings in saddle and fingerboard perfect, really balanced, which grants the performer a high degree of comfort for both hands.
The condition is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
