This flamenco guitar was made by the master luthier José Salinas in 2023. José Salinas was born in Almería in 1974. His art and great work as a craftsman come from their passion for flamenco, which he has devoted his whole life to, as a singer and guitar lover. In fact, his father, a professional cabinetmaker, passed on this knowledge to his son so he could work on this noble material for more than seven years working together at his workshop. As we said, he was a top-level flamenco singer, as he has worked in some of the most popular tablaos and stages, such as Casa Patas, Las Carboneras, Corral de la Morería, etc. and has been on stage with some of the best artists, like Joaquín Ruiz, Concha Jareño, Belén López, El Amir… All of this allowed him to live surrounded by good guitars and guitarists, who fanned the flames of the passion for flamenco guitar inside of him. His guitars stand out for a particularly personal flamenco timbre, with spotless sound quality and extraordinary comfort. These virtues have managed to captivate great flamenco artists, such as El Amir, Farruquito, Curro Prieto aka “Currito”, Antonio aka “El Ñoño”, or Antonio Carrión, among others.
The different kinds of wood used in its manufacturing are of an extraordinary quality, the sound top is made of German spruce, with an even and straight grain on the entire surface. The back and sides are made of beautiful cypress tree, with a straight and homogeneous veining.
Specially remarkable has to be the headstock: a traditional one, but with an internal mechanism, making accurate tuning possible, without the disadvantages of the old wooden headstocks, combining thus the beauty of the latter with the accuracy and convenience of the modern mechanical headstock.
This flamenco guitar is truly exceptional. Its brightness is penetrating, but it also has enough body and weight, all of which results in an unbeatable strumming. Its timbre causes pure flamenco to come out like few times before, and its sound quality and tuning are simply spotless. The trebles are bright, and a wide variety of harmonics come out of it, magnified by a great sustain.
The strings height and adjustment which this guitar allows is simply perfect, this permits an extremely comfortable touch in both hands and an increase in fluidity when playing the instrument.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is new.
