This flamenco guitar was built in 2026 by master luthier José Salinas. José Salinas was born in Almería in 1974. His craftsmanship and expertise as a guitar maker stem from his passion for flamenco, to which he devoted a significant part of his life as a singer, and from his love of wood. His father, a professional cabinetmaker, passed on to him the knowledge and skills required to work with this noble material during the more than seven years he spent working alongside him in his workshop. Being a first-class flamenco singer, having performed at some of the most prestigious venues and tablaos in Spain, including Casa Patas, Las Carboneras and Corral de la Morería, among others, and having shared the stage with renowned artists such as Joaquín Ruiz, Concha Jareño, Belén López and El Amir, allowed him to remain surrounded by outstanding guitars and guitarists. This experience awakened and nurtured the innate love for the instrument that he had always felt. His guitars are particularly distinguished by their highly personal flamenco timbre, impeccable acoustic quality and exceptional playability. These qualities have won over some of the most prominent artists in the flamenco world, including El Amir, Farruquito, Curro Prieto “Currito” and Antonio “El Ñoño”, as well as Antonio Carrión, among others.
The woods selected for its construction are of exceptional quality. The soundboard is made of German spruce, featuring a fine and remarkably uniform grain across the entire surface. The sides and back are crafted from beautiful cypress with a straight, homogeneous grain. The finish is understated and elegant.
This flamenco guitar delivers an truly exceptional sound and character. José Salinas’ guitars have what we particularly love as a distinctly “Vicente” quality: a bright, crisp flamenco growl with plenty of body, allowing the player to push the instrument without sacrificing any of its tonal quality. As we always say when describing Salinas guitars, the tuning is remarkably precise and stable. While this may appear simple to achieve, it is in fact a demanding quality in a guitar, and one that has a direct impact on tonal definition while considerably enhancing harmonic projection and sustain.
The string action and overall setup of this guitar are simply perfect, providing an extremely comfortable feel in both hands and allowing for exceptional fluidity while playing.
The guitar is in new condition.
