Flamenco guitar José Salinas 2026

This flamenco guitar was built by master luthier José Salinas in 2026. José Salinas was born in Almería in 1974. His craftsmanship and expertise as a guitar maker stem from his passion for flamenco, to which he devoted a significant part of his life as a professional flamenco singer, and from his love of wood. His father, a professional cabinetmaker, passed on to him the knowledge and skills required to work with this noble material during the more than seven years he spent working alongside him in his workshop. Being an accomplished flamenco singer, José Salinas has performed on some of Spain’s most prestigious stages and tablaos, including Casa Patas, Las Carboneras and Corral de la Morería. He has also shared the stage with renowned artists such as Joaquín Ruiz, Concha Jareño, Belén López and El Amir. This experience allowed him to remain constantly surrounded by exceptional guitars and guitarists, awakening and nurturing the innate love for the instrument that he had always possessed. His guitars are particularly distinguished by their highly personal flamenco timbre, impeccable acoustic quality and outstanding playability. These qualities have attracted leading flamenco artists such as El Amir, Farruquito, Curro Prieto “Currito”, Antonio “El Ñoño” and Antonio Carrión, among others.

The woods selected for this flamenco guitar are of the highest available quality. The soundboard is made from German spruce, featuring a highly pronounced, straight and uniform grain that reflects the exceptional quality of the wood. The back and sides are made from Indian rosewood, displaying a beautifully straight grain and exquisite natural tones. The overall finish is understated and elegant.

This flamenco guitar possesses an truly exceptional sound and character. Its remarkable volume and power are particularly striking, even to us, despite the many fine guitars that pass through our hands. It has the deep, raspy timbre that is characteristic of this master luthier’s instruments. As we always mention when describing Salinas guitars, the tuning stability and intonation are exceptionally precise. While this may appear simple to achieve, it is actually a demanding aspect of guitar making. This precision has a direct impact on tonal quality and significantly enhances harmonic projection and sustain.

The string action and setup of this guitar are simply perfect, providing an extremely comfortable response in both hands and allowing exceptional fluidity while playing.

The guitar is in new condition.
