This flamenco guitar was built by the well-known guitar maker Juan Montero Aguilera, from Córdoba in 1973. Rafael Riqueni, Vicente Amigo, Tomatito, or Luis Calderito are just some of the few performers who have praised and played his magnificent guitars.
This guitar is made of excellent woods. The top has got a completely straight and even grain. Cypress wood in back and sides is of extraordinary quality, rather difficult to get these days. Elegant details in the finishes, rosette and the bridge can be found as well.
Its sound is really exceptional, To be honest, it is one of the best flamenco guitars we have ever had from this maker. Sublimely combines power and volume with quality with that particular flamenco sound “dry” and “hollow”, typical in the best guitars.
The tension is medium, and the height of the strings in the fingerboard and saddle is very balanced, providing us with a high level of comfort for both hands.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent, without any cracks or repairs of any kind. The original wooden pegs was replaced with a mechanica tuning pegs, just like the previous owner wanted.
