The Californian guitar maker Lester Devoe is the luthier who made this fine flamenco guitar, made in 2015. Lester Devoe is regarded as one of the best flamenco guitar makers in the world. In fact, his pieces of work have been praised and played by Paco de Lucia, Vicente Amigo, Sabicas… both in recording studios and live concerts.
The woods of this guitar are simply extraordinary. The canadian cedar top has got a very marked, straight and even grain. The back and sides are made of cypress of the highest quality, concerning both the cut and the excellent wood seasoning this guitar maker gives all his woods for years. The finishes are simple and sober, but also elegant.
His sound, powerful and quick, is excellent regarding quality and personality, with a flamenco character taken to the extreme, where we find bass strings with perfectly balanced bright and depth, and trebles with an open timbre, laden with nuances.
This guitar has the highly-valued “rebound beating” on the right hand, combined with fantastic softness on the left one, thus accomplishing the “perfect instrument”, should we want to spend hours and hours playing non-stop with a nice feeling of ease. The height on the fret 12 is 2.1 millimeters, which allows our left hand to do its job very easily and fluently.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
