The Californian guitar maker Lester Devoe is the luthier who made this fine flamenco guitar, made in 2018. Lester Devoe is regarded as one of the best flamenco guitar makers in the world. In fact, his pieces of work have been praised and played by Paco de Lucia, Vicente Amigo, Sabicas… both in recording studios and live concerts.
The woods of this guitar are simply extraordinary. The canadian cedar top has got a very marked, straight and even grain. The back and sides are made of cypress of the highest quality, concerning both the cut and the excellent wood seasoning this guitar maker gives all his woods for years. The finishes are simple and sober, but also elegant.
The cedar used for the construction of this guitar has a hardness that is out of the usual, so that the characteristics and features of cedar are positively accentuated, such as speed and brightness, but we also get a plus of projection and volume. Undoubtedly, this is a truly exceptional guitar from a guitar maker who once again surprises us and shows us that he is one of the 10 best builders of the last century.
The strings height and adjustment which this guitar allows is simply perfect, this permits an extremely comfortable touch in both hands and an increase in fluidity when playing the instrument.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
