Flamenco guitar Manuel Reyes (Hijo) 2010

This flamenco guitar was made by the master luthier Manuel Reyes (son) in 2010. Manuel Reyes Maldonado´s son, he succeeded in learning and developing his father´s teachings, after sharing the workshop, and producing equally good guitars, regarding both the making and sound.

The different kinds of wood picked for this guitar are really exclusive. The german spruce of the sound top shows a truly smooth grain, straight and uniform through the entire surface. The back and sides are made of rosewood with a straight grain and beautiful colors. The finishes are the typical in Manuel Reyes´ work: simple but elegant.

This guitar is a very exclusive instrument and difficult to obtain since maestro Manuel Reyes son has actually built very few rosewood guitars given the difficulty of obtaining this wood and the cost it presents. A guitar with a spectacular sound both in power and quality that shows a sound already “made” and with that quality that the passage of years gives to the instruments of this guitar genius. The unmistakable strumming of “los Reyes” is especially present in this authentic concert guitar.

The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium, and the string height on the fingerboard and saddle is perfect and balanced. We would like to highlight especially the comfort in both hands that this instrument offers, with that addictive “bounce” effect it produces in the right hand and the smoothness with which the left hand flows along and across the fingerboard.

The condition is excellent and completely original, only has a small fisure in the back practically indistinguishable and perfectly repaired.
