This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Felipe Conde Crespo, 2024, son of Felipe Conde and heir of one of the most important firms in guitar history: Hermanos Conde. This young luthier has proved he is talented enough, to say the least, for guitar making. His intruments have a careful and down-to-detail making, with a sound of the highest quality, keeping their timbre and strength typical of this firm, but also instilling his distinctive personality. There is no doubt Felipe Conde Crespo gathers all qualities necessary in order to be one the best guitar makers in Spain, and the perfect heir for the firm he represents. Those qualities are devotion and love for his work, music and the guitar.
This flamenco guitar belongs to a reduced number of these instruments made in that time. The best woods, along with a down-to-detail making, resulted in a top quality instrument, particularly hard to find nowadays. Is made of excellent woods, impossible to obtain nowadays. Straight-grained Indian rosewood with breathtakingly beautiful shades, as well as canadian cedar top, also with a straight and even grain endorse the quality of this guitar with plenty of quality and character, typical of Hermanos Conde in that time.
The sound of this guitar is majestic: an instrument of the highest quality in every sense, with a sound capable of surprising the most demanding guitarist. Sequoia has certain acoustic characteristics that make it one of the best woods to use for flamenco guitars, due to the shape and distribution of its grain and the crystallisation of its interior fibres and resins, which achieve a timbre that resembles the speed and clarity of cedar’s but with the sweetness and bass closer to spruce-pine’s. The combination of Indian rosewood and sequoia, as we have commented on other occasions, is a safe bet which guarantees a big, clear sound with projection. These are qualities which a great concert guitar must have, and this is precisely what this instrument offers us in abundance.
The action of this flamenco guitar is medium, very comfortable for both hands thanks to the low string height on the fretboard.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is brand new.
