10 strings guitar Paulino Bernabé 1984

This guitar was made by master luthier Paulino Bernabé in 1984. Paulino Bernabé started his career as a luthier in 1954, after he started working in the prestigious firm Ramírez, in Madrid. Thanks to his talent and good job, he was quickly promoted to workshop manager. In 1969, he left Ramírez´s workshop to start making his own guitars as a craftsman.

In 1972, Paulino Bernabe made a ten-string guitar for Maestro Narciso Yepes. A guitar which accompanied him ever since, in every single concert and performance, until the day of his very death.

This ten-string guitar is a unique and exclusive instrument, with spectacular quality, both regarding its sound and making. The German spruce top has a really marked, straight and even grain ; The back and sides are made of the very best Brazilian rosewood, with a gorgeous style and a beautiful grain.

The sound coming out of this guitar is simply spectacular. It combines volume and quality masterfully. The bass are powerful and deep, and the trebles, crystal-clear and with extraordinary scope, all of which makes this instrument a true work of art, with a very characteristic sound and really balanced.

The tension of this guitar is medium. The height of the strings in the fingerboard and saddle is very balanced, providing us with a high level of comfort for both hands, as well as simplicity for the performance itself.

The condition of this guitar is excellent, and completely original, without any crack or repair whatsoever.
