Flamenco guitar Hermanos Conde 1997

This flamenco guitar was built by the prestigious Hermanos Conde de Madrid, in the year 1997. After having worked together in 7 Gravina Street, Mariano Conde decided to work on his own in Felipe V Street, Madrid, where he taught his children, Mariano and Felipe Conde, the art of guitar making. These two children learnt so much that they managed to take over the workshop until 2010.

The woods employed for the making of this guitar are German spruce for the top and Spanish Royal cypress for back and sides. It´s worth remarking how beautiful these high quality woods are, especially the Spanish Royal cypress. The top has got a very marked, straight and even grain.

The sound of this guitar is extraordinary, regarding volume and quality. The basses is very powerful and deep, the trebles are crystal clear and bright, with great scope and sustain, and showing a perfect balance between both of them.

The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium, and the height of strings in fingerboard on the fret 12 is 2.2 millimeters, which allows our left hand to do its job very easily and fluently.

The condition of conservation is very good, it has three cracks on the top, and one on the lower side, both of them being really small, and clearly shown on the images attached. The guitar has been repolished with natural varnish nitrocellulose in the same way as was done originally, keeping qualities and sound characteristics intact.
