Flamenco guitar Miguel Rodríguez 1968

This flamenco guitar was made by the legendary guitar maker Miguel Rodríguez in his workshop, located in 15 Alfaros Street (Córdoba) in 1968. His guitars are objects of desire for collectors and performers all around the world because of both its meticulous construction and the personality they have.

This flamenco guitar belonged to the private collection of the Rodriguez family until 2014, when it was sold by José Miguel Rodríguez Barona, great-grandson of Miguel Rodríguez Beneyto. It was done in order to remodel the family guitar workshop, located in 15 Alfaros Street. It was made by Miguel Rodríguez Beneyto, with the best woods available in 1968, as a birthday present for his grandson, José Rodríguez Álamo, who turned 18.

Its sound is pure magic, and the bass stops have that hollow and hoarse timbre, typical
of the best flamenco guitars. The trebles are crystal-clear and really accurate. In this
guitar, we find the characteristic timbre of Miguel Rodríguez’s guitars. A simply
unmistakable timbre, different from the instruments made by other craftsmen. This
guitar can captivate both experts and amateurs. It is one of the best guitars we have ever
held in our hands, as its overall quality, as well as the sound qualities in particular, are a
benchmark.
