Flamenco guitar Francisco Barba 1981

This flamenco guitar has been made by the great luthier Francisco Barba in 1981. He is regarded as one of the best guitar makers ever and his guitars have been (and are) praised and used by some of the best guitarists in the world: Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela… and so many others.

The woods chosen for this magnificent guitar are canadian cedar for the top, with an even and straight grain, and Rosewood for back and sides, with a chocolate tone and a beautiful fabric, specially ordered by Jose Luis Parreño, a very close friend of Francisco Barba.

The sound emerging from this guitar possesses some special features and nuances, where the flamenco touch from this luthier can be definitely found. The basses are deep and bright with an extraordinarily powerful, the trebles are vivid and crystal clear, attaining a very long sustain. All those features make a piece of work with unique sound quality that sublimely combines power volume and quality.

This guitar has got medium tension, and a reduced height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard, providing the guitarist with a high degree of comfort for both hands, as well as an easy performance.

The conservation state is very good. Has some cracks on the top almost invisible to eyesight, and one more on the back, all perfectly repaired and documented in the attached images.
