This guitar was built by the popular José Ramírez signature in 1971, one of the most prolific periods of the firm, which flocked to his shop guitarists worldwide both classical and flamenco, Paco de Lucia, Manolo Sanlucar, Narciso Yepes, Serranito… among many others.
This guitar has belonged to the guitarist Manolo Franco, one of the most representative figures of flamenco guitar of all time.
This guitar is made of excellent woods, impossible to obtain nowadays. The rosewood of the back and sides is really beautiful and with wonderful chocolate-like tone, as well as canadian cedar top, also with a straight and even grain endorse the quality of this guitar with plenty of quality and character, typical of this popular signature in that time. The label of this guitar has got a grey border, as usual in a first class guitar. The initials M.M. denote it has been made by master luthier Miguel Malo.
The sound of this guitar is spectacular. The balance between basses and trebles is simply perfect. Its great volume and quality sound will impress the most demanding palates. Sincerely, we do believe it´s one of the best “Ramirez´s” guitars we have ever seen.
The tension is medium, and the height of strings in saddle and fingerboard, perfectly balanced, so it is quite a comfortable guitar for both hands.
The condition of this guitar is excellent, being completely original. It has, however, a small superficial fissure on the side needs no repair, as it is really light, and because of its location.
Along with the guitar, a certificate of authenticity will be delivered, signed by Manolo Franco himself.
