Flamenco guitar Felipe Conde 2017 Reed. “Moraito Chico” nº11

This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Felipe Conde, in his workshop, located in 4 Arrieta Street, 2017, after starting to work on his own, and not with his brother Mariano Conde, his guitars have got only his name, nobody else´s, leaving behind Hermanos Conde´s  brand name and making a fresh start.

It is an exact replica of his favourite guitar: Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso 1972, which they managed to imitate down to the smallest detail, thanks to Diego del Morao’s collaboration, as well as Felipe Conde’s great skills. Only the traditional pegs has been replaced by a mechanical tuning pegs one, keeping the original aesthetics, but improving its finctionality. It is worth mentioning how the original guitar used to have wooden traditional pegs, but the Maestro decided to modify it for comfort reasons on stage. Hence the fact that we can see some images of him with the same guitar, but different pegboxes. (SEE NEWS)

The woods employed for this guitar is German spruce for the top and Spanish Royal cypress for back and sides. The top has got a very marked, straight and even grain along its whole surface. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, with an outstanding quality and beauty. The original plantilla and solera used for the making of this guitar, along with the most accurate tools available at present, have resulted in an unbeatable guitar, capable of making us feel and remember the music of the best artists on our own hands. The label is signed by maestro Diego del Morao himself.

The sound is incredible, Felipe Conde has succeeded in the creation of an exact copy of Maestro Moraito’s guitar. The difference in sound timbre, colour and quality are almost imposible to tell. This instrument has a mature sound, something that definitely evolved, with that “bouqué” the best flamenco guitars acquire along the years. It is extremely difficult to combine all those qualities in a new guitar. However, knowledge, as well as unbeatable talent, always break down barriers, and this is what happened one more time, yielding spotless results.

The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium, and the height of strings in saddle and fingerboard is very reduced, providing us with a high degree of comfort for both hands.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is brand new.
