Rafita de Madrid and Jerónimo Maya perform bulerías at Solera Flamenca. Pure flamenco, rhythm and soul!

Bulerías, one of the most representative and demanding flamenco styles, provides the perfect setting for an artistic encounter full of spontaneity, rhythm, and emotion. The connection between Rafita de Madrid’s voice and Jerónimo Maya’s guitar results in an authentic performance, where every ending, every call, and every falseta reflects the profound understanding both artists have of this universal language.

Born in Madrid in 1981, Rafita de Madrid grew up in a family with deep flamenco roots, linked to legendary figures such as Rafael Farina, Diego “El Cigala”, José Peñagrande and Pedro Jiménez “El Pili”. Since 1997, he has developed his professional career performing at Madrid’s leading flamenco tablaos and sharing the stage with artists such as Diego “El Cigala”, Javier Limón and Concha Buika.
Throughout his career, he has participated in international productions alongside Tito Losada and Joaquín Cortés, collaborated with the National Ballet of Spain, and contributed to numerous recording projects. He recently released his first solo album, a work that reflects his commitment to flamenco tradition through a personal and contemporary vision.

A bulerías performance celebrating the most authentic flamenco
The performance we present brings together two artists with a remarkable sensitivity for bulerías, one of the flamenco styles where improvisation, rhythm, and the communication between singing and guitar reach their highest expression. The result is a fresh interpretation, full of nuance and delivered with the naturalness that only appears when flamenco flows spontaneously.
At Solera Flamenca, we invite you to enjoy this unique moment and discover the magic that arises when two great artists come together to share their art. We hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed experiencing it.
