Solera Flamenca had the privilege of welcoming one of the young voices with the greatest potential in today’s flamenco scene: Reyes Carrasco, accompanied on guitar by maestro José Gálvez. It was a performance that gave us the opportunity to experience the talent, personality and strength of an artist who, despite her young age, already has an outstanding career in the world of flamenco.

Born in Los Palacios y Villafranca (Seville), Reyes Carrasco has flamenco in her blood. Daughter of flamenco singer María José Carrasco and a member of a family deeply connected to flamenco, she began singing at a very young age and appeared on television when she was just three years old. Her career has been marked by numerous awards and recognitions, including first prize in Canal Sur’s Tierra de Talento in 2021, where she won the children’s category at just 14 years old. These achievements are joined by awards and recognitions at the International Cante de las Minas Festival, the Venencia Flamenca and the Festival de Jerez, among others.

At her side was José Gálvez, a guitarist from Jerez and a versatile artist who also works as a composer, singer-songwriter, poet and producer. His playing, deeply rooted in the tradition of Jerez while remaining open to new forms of expression, has led him to collaborate with numerous artists and perform on important flamenco stages and at major festivals. We should also highlight the musicians who accompanied the young artist throughout the performance: flamenco singer María José Carrasco, Reyes’s mother, together with Diego Amaya and Juan Mateos on palmas and jaleos.

For Solera Flamenca, it has been a genuine source of pride to welcome Reyes Carrasco and José Gálvez and to enjoy their artistry in a space created precisely with the aim of bringing flamenco closer to its enthusiasts and supporting both its established artists and new generations.

We are also delighted to share this news as a premiere announcement: Reyes Carrasco will be one of the featured artists at the next edition of the Flamenc-ON Festival in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, where she will take part in the opening of Flamenc-ON 2027.
