This flamenco guitar was made in 2001 by the master luthier Ricardo Sanchis Carpio, from Valencia. His guitars are often praised and played in the flamenco world, in which these guitars could be seen on stage all over the world, with guitar performers such as Pedro Sierra, Tomatito, José Andrés Cortés, and many others.
The woods in this flamenco guitar are simply perfect. The top is made of German spruce, with an amazingly uniform marble, the back and sides are made of an extraordinary cypress. The finishes are the typical in Ricardo Sanchis work: simple and elegant. Specially remarkable has to be the headstock: a traditional one, but with an internal mechanism, making accurate tuning possible, without the disadvantages of the old wooden headstocks, combining thus the beauty of the latter with the accuracy and convenience of the modern mechanical headstock.
The sound coming out of this guitar is simply spectacular, because of the volume in particular and the quality in general: the basses are powerful and deep, with an incredibly flamenco sound. The trebles are well-defined, with an amazing scope, all of which makes a guitar with a very characteristic sound, which will make the performer or collector fall in love with it instantly.
The tension is medium, with a very reduced height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard, all of which provides this guitar with a high degree of comfort for both hands.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent, and completely original, without any crack or repair whatsoever.
