This flamenco guitar made by luthier Simon Ambridge in 2018. In 1978 he made his first acoustic guitar, based on a Martin 0045 model. Later, he made a Spanish guitar based on Torres´ model with Kevin Aram´s help. At this point of his life, his path was set, he was passionate about guitars. However, it wasn´t until ten years later when he became completely devoted to guitar making. In 1991 he was awarded some prizes from David Canter Memorial Fund and Southwest Arts. Eventually, he enjoyed an increasingly good international reputation, with customers all around the world.
This guitar is part and inaugurates one of the most exciting projects we have ever taken part in: An exact replica of our guitar “La Invencible” (The Invincible).
For this project, we have counted on the collaboration of some of the very best guitar makers in the world: Simon Ambridge, Felipe Conde, John Ray and Gabriele Lodi.
Each maker has performed a down-to-detail study of the guitar with the utmost accuracy so as to be able to reproduce the smallest detail of this fine instrument: Wood thicknesses, dimensions, fan bracing, wood grain, pulsation… everything has been cared for. As a result, the customer will be able to feel how accurate the reproduction really is, being able to truly enjoy and feel they are holding the one and only “Invincible” guitar in their hands.

The woods of this guitar are excellent, of the highest quality available, selecting cuts with similar grains to the original intrument. The German spruce top has quite a straight, marked and even grain. The back and sides are made of Brazilian rosewood (Dalbergia Nigra), along with its corresponding CITES certificate. A breathtakingly beautiful wood, with impressive acoustic qualities. The finishes are reatrained and elegant.
Its sound is simply perfect. Just like the original model, the sound quality coming out of the instrument is simply unthinkable. The bourdons are incredibly deep, and the trebles, sweet and penetrating, with unmatched sustain and scope. The harmonics are simply pure magic. It is a true privilege to be able to play or hear this fine instrument, next to the original one. This way we can see how similar they are, both in sound and in touch, pulsation, comfort…
The tension is soft, and the height of string in saddle and fingerboard, perfect, being extremely comfortable to play. It is not easy at all to describe the potential which can be unleashed just by stroking the strings.
The condition of the guitar is new.
