This week on Solera Flamenca we would like to strongly recommend you a really interesting product for the preservation and care of your guitars.

This product, commercially named “BOVEDA”, has been used for the preservation of cigarrettes and cigars, as the maintenance of optimal humidity conditions is essential if we are to prevent an early wear.

Through the recommendation of our friend Joan de VALLÈS TRADE, one of the main distributors of instruments and accessories in our country, we decided to try it on our guitars. Having obtained wonderful results, we employed it for our shipments in order to guarantee the stability of the humidity levels of the guitar all along its journey, resulting in a significant increase of safety in all our shipments.

In order to obtain the best results with this product, we recommend using 4 bags, placing them inside the guitar case, obtaining a humidity level of 49%, thus avoiding possible issues derived from excessive humidity, such as the sagging of the neck, the worsening of the sound, or the typical cracks which appear in extremely dry environments.
