Flamenco guitar Vítor Belmonte 2021

This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Vítor Belmonte, 2021. Vítor Belmonte (Cartagena, 1985), trained in music by his own ‘flamenco traditional’ family, has been living in Almería since 2014. He is the son of a metalworker; his ability for the craftsmanship of materials and his incursion into carpentry techniques was what led him to take up the challenge of building instruments. In 2016, he joined the ‘Cuerdas vibrantes’ luthier school, run by Carlos González, and started making guitars with Pavel Gavryushoy. He has had his own establishment in Níjar since 2018, where he currently works. He also frequents the workshop of the guitar and cabinetmaker David Egidio, and expands his knowledge in the field of historical guitar making with Joaquín Pierre.

This flamenco guitar represents the beginning of our collaboration with Vítor Belmonte. The first of many, because this craftsman has the qualities that we believe are essential to be an outstanding guitar maker among the wide range of guitar makers in the world today, and especially in our country.

Since we first met Vítor Belmonte, he has shown a continuous interest in improving and evolving his construction systems. He has been visiting and studying some of our best guitars, culminating in a complete instrument: simple finishes, minimalist in style, but with an outstanding perfection and a sound with an exceptional volume and a really beautiful flamenco timbre. Its strumming is fast and brilliant and the melodies drawn by its trebles are embellished by the wide variety of harmonics that emanate from the length and breadth of its fretboard.

This guitar has the highly-valued “rebound beating” on the right hand, combined with fantastic softness on the left one, thus accomplishing the “perfect instrument”, should we want to spend hours and hours playing non-stop with a nice feeling of ease.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is brand new.
