[vc_row][vc_column width=’1/2′]This week at Solera Flamenca we bring you a new video featuring Paco del Pozo, accompanied by the guitar of maestro Jerónimo Maya.

Paco del Pozo (Francisco del Pozo Carpintero, Madrid, 1975) has a deep connection with music in general, and flamenco in particular, built on three solid pillars: unwavering honesty toward this art, constant and meticulous study, and a profound inner need to express his artistic concerns through the rich framework this discipline offers.

From childhood, he began his training alongside renowned guitarists, avoiding the often-imposed stereotypes and choosing to follow his own path. Thus, he has built a career marked by absolute respect for flamenco, faithful to the legacy he inherited but with an authentic creative imprint and expressive freedom he refuses to compromise.

At an early age, already with solid preparation after years of learning and valuable experience on countless stages—peñas, tablaos, auditoriums, theaters, and festivals—Paco del Pozo embarked on a parallel and enduring teaching career in conservatories and prestigious educational institutions.

His first album—though not his first recording, which dates back to when he was 11 years old, titled Paquito quiere cantarte—is Vestido de luces. More than a defense of bullfighting, it is a tribute to poetry (a discipline with which he has always had a close bond), where, using the homage to the Ordóñez dynasty as a pretext, the singer immerses himself in cultured poetry through flamenco, while continuing to study and enjoy the vast repertoire of popular poetry so essential to the art.

Ignoring trends and guided only by his inner voice, he presents his most recent work, En este momento, an impressive and carefully crafted album where Paco del Pozo reveals himself in full artistic maturity. After thorough research and study, he revives forgotten songs and pays tribute to artists who have touched him for various reasons.

In short, Paco del Pozo is a complete singer, with a powerful range and total commitment in each performance. His seriousness, sense of responsibility, and the rigor resulting from solid training clearly define his artistic identity.

Without further ado, we leave you with this beautiful Soleá performed by Paco del Pozo with the guitar of Jerónimo Maya, accompanied by the percussion of José Cordoba “Moskito.”
