[vc_row][vc_column width=’1/2′]This week we are presenting all of you “CON MI MAESTRO”, the seventh track of the album “PUREZA Y SOLERA”, a very special tune for Jerónimo, as it is a bulería performed with maestro Felipe Maya, his father.

""

“CON MI MAESTRO” is a magnificent bulería recorded by Jerónimo with Felipe Maya. To Jerónimo, his father´s figure is essential, both for the artistic and personal side of his side. He is a role model, always guiding him through the right lifepath, with humour, kindness and love.

""

Felipe Maya Losada was born in Madridejos (Toledo) in 1950. Direct descendant of the legendary guitarist Ramón Montoya, and father of guitarists Jerónimo and Leo Maya. Felipe Maya is a true master of the instrument capable of taking his son to the top level, thanks to his wisdom and great knowledge of flamenco. The way he plays is full of talent and character. Listening to his music, we can tell where Jeronimo´s talent comes from: We are indeed before THE SOURCE ITSELF.

""

Along his career, Felipe Maya has accompanied, as a first guitarist, flamenco dancing stars like “El Güito” and “El Farruco”. He has played for some imporant singers, such as Enrique Morente, Juan Peña “El Lebrijano”, Ramón “El Portugués” and “El Indio Gitano”, among others.

As on previous occasions, this song is accompanied by Juan Mateo for the knucle-tapping, a real genius of the rhythm, who managed to cover this masterpiece with the “complex simplicity” coat which only a maestro like him could provide.
