This flamenco guitar was built in 1974 by master luthier Francisco Barba. Regarded as one of the finest guitar makers in the world, his instruments have earned widespread acclaim and are played by renowned guitar makers, collectors and guitarists such as Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela, and many others.

This flamenco guitar has been crafted using tonewoods of exceptional quality. The German spruce soundboard features a perfect grain pattern: straight, uniform and beautifully pronounced across its entire surface. The back and sides are made of cypress of outstanding beauty and quality. The purfling details and overall finish are simply impeccable.

This flamenco guitar is truly exceptional and represents a unique opportunity for anyone who appreciates outstanding acoustic quality. Its sound surpasses all expectations, with such remarkable power that the entire body of the instrument seems to vibrate with every note and chord, much like a bell. Its unmistakable flamenco character and the immense personality it conveys confirm, once again, that we are dealing with one of the most important names in the history of flamenco guitar making. Its tone reveals that distinctive hollow, resonant sound that the passing of time gives to the finest flamenco guitars, a quality we find particularly captivating.

This flamenco guitar has medium string tension, while the string action along the fingerboard and at the bridge saddle is perfectly balanced, providing the player with outstanding comfort in both hands.

The guitar is in good overall condition. It has undergone a complete, high-level restoration, with all cracks expertly repaired, as can be seen in detail in the accompanying photographs. The soundboard has six cracks, the back features a small wooden graft in its upper central section, and the sides show two wooden grafts and one crack. The fingerboard also has a graft in its upper section. Despite the extensive nature of this restoration, the guitar is in excellent playing condition and can be used without any problems or risk to its structural stability. It also represents a remarkable opportunity to acquire an instrument of the highest calibre at an exceptionally attractive price.
