This flamenco guitar was built in the landmark workshop Gravina Street No. 7 by the nephews of the master luthier Domingo Esteso, then run by brothers Faustino and Mariano Conde. Many were the figures who passed through this workshop suing their guitars as Paco de Lucia, Melchor de Marchena, Niño Ricardo, Cepero, Pepe Habichuela… and much more.

The different woods in this flamenco guitar are of the top existing quality. The top are made of german spruce has a totally straight and even grain, which is quite accentuated. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, whose beauty and quality are simply magnificent.

We particularly like the sound of the guitars from the ’60s, as they have some particularities that make them easily distinguishable from the other stages of the firm, such as an outstanding depth in the bass strings and a truly magical ‘hollow’ timbre.

This guitar has the highly-valued “rebound beating” on the right hand, combined with fantastic softness on the left one, thus accomplishing the “perfect instrument”, should we want to spend hours and hours playing non-stop with a nice feeling of ease.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is very good, being completely original. It has a very superficial crack in the closest part to the fingerboard parallel to it, typical of the guitars of the firm and which does not require any repair due to its location and lack of severity. The central part of the soundboard has been reinforced at the joint to prevent it from separating, a common repair in old guitars, probably caused by changes in climate and humidity throughout its life. The guitar retains the originality of all its parts including the varnish, nut and headstock.
