This flamenco guitar was built in the landmark workshop Gravina Street No. 7 by the nephews of the master luthier Domingo Esteso, then run by brothers Faustino, Julio and Mariano Conde. Many were the figures who passed through this workshop suing their guitars as Paco de Lucia, Melchor de Marchena, Niño Ricardo, Cepero, Pepe Habichuela… and much more.

This flamenco guitar was made with superb quality woods, and with special attention and affection, as the Spanish post-war times were known by the scarcity of work. Therefore, high quality was mandarory, and many commissions came from Latin American countries, such as Argentina.

The sound of the guitars of that time is simply marvellous. Unlike Domingo Esteso’s guitars, new making systems were introduced, resulting in a bigger, more powerful and moderner instrument. The sound of this instrument in particular is a sound we really love, with a crystal-clear flamenco strumming and surprising trebles, due to their scope amd harmonics.

It is particularly hard to find guitars from that time in such an excellent condition. In fact, it has no crack whatsoever, maintaining its originality in every single part (except for the pegbox). It does have a hit on one of the sides between the top and the upper side, although it is not serious at all, as it does not compromise the integrity of the instrument.
