This flamenco guitar was built by the prestigious Hermanos Conde de Madrid, in the year 1989. After having worked together in 7 Gravina Street, Mariano Conde decided to work on his own in Felipe V Street, Madrid, where he taught his children, Mariano and Felipe Conde, the art of guitar making. These two children learnt so much that they managed to take over the workshop until 2010.

This flamenco guitar has been built with carefully selected woods: the top is made of German spruce, with a straight, even and very marked grain along its whole surface, whereas perfect cypress wood has been chosen for the back and sides.

This kind of flamenco guitars, made by Conde Brothers are particularly difficult to find, as they were made in a very interesting time, during which Mariano (father) had just started his own workshop in Felipe V Street, after “breaking up with” his brother Faustino. This is a transition time during which guitars were still made with the old 70´s bracing, different from the one which would be used in this workshop shortly after.

It has this characteristic timbre of the guitars from this firm, which makes us fall in love with it instantly. It also has beautiful and deep bass, with so much body, but also with such a special brightness, which is particularly noticeable in the strumming and “alzapúa” (picking). The trebles, crystal-clear and with really surprising sustain, are perfectly balanced with the bass, thus attaining a perfect harmony between them both.

The tension is medium, very comfortable for both hands, due to the reduced height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
