This flamenco guitar was made by the master luthier Manuel Reyes (son) in 2018. Manuel Reyes Maldonado´s son, he succeeded in learning and developing his father´s teachings, after sharing the workshop, and producing equally good guitars, regarding both the making and sound. It must be remarked the fact that in those first years of learning, those guitars were made by father and son together. It is well-known that Manuel Reyes senior was extremely refined, even more than his son. However, regarding acoustics, we believe his son made an even higher-quality product, as it represents the “white” concert guitar which his father attained, although with higher scope, and trebles particularly thick and powerful. Additionally, Manuel Reyes Jr reached a really personal timbre in his instruments, which makes it easy to differentiate them from his father´s. Although the same essence still remains, the son´s instruments remind us more of the essence of Gerundino´s guitars of the 70s.

The wood used for the top is German spruce, and spanish Cypress for back and sides. The top has a very accentuated grain, completely straight and uniform. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, with an outstanding quality and beauty.

We are before a really interesting guitar, with a bridge and varnish tone quite different from the usual in this maker, normally ordered by its former owner.

Once more, we are given the opportunity to purchase one of the most wanted and valued instruments in today´s market. Its price soars year after year, and it does not happen for no reason. In fact, in any meeting we talk about comparisons, this maker´s guitars always stand out from so many others, thus becoming part of the select few guitars of the top-notch level.

The strings height and adjustment which this guitar allows is simply perfect, this permits an extremely comfortable touch in both hands and an increase in fluidity when playing the instrument.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent, without any cracks or repairs of any kind.
