This flamenco guitar has been made by master luthier Pedro Muriel in 2018. This guitar maker, based in Herrera (Seville), began his journey into guitar making driven by his deep passion for the flamenco guitar. Throughout his career, and thanks to his constant desire to deepen his knowledge of the art of lutherie, he has had the opportunity to share countless conversations and meetings with some of the greatest guitar makers of our time, including Manuel Reyes and Francisco Barba, from whom he has gained invaluable knowledge and experience. He has also shared a workshop with Francisco Sánchez, where, thanks to the master’s generosity, he has been able to develop and refine his current concept of guitar making. Through his hands have passed guitars built by some of the most important luthiers in history, including Gerundino Fernández, Manuel Reyes, Francisco Barba, Santos Hernández, Antonio de Torres and Marcelo Barbero, among many others. This has enabled him to study their different construction styles in great detail and acquire a profound understanding of the handcrafted guitar, establishing himself as one of today’s most distinguished guitar makers.

The different woods in this flamenco guitar are of the top existing quality. The top is made of german spruce, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, whose beauty and quality are simply perfect, the finishes are elegant and sober.

The sound of this guitar is really surprising. A specially flamenco timbre which is full of personality and character. This instrument has a mature sound, something that definitely evolved, with that “bouqué” the best flamenco guitars acquire along the years, it is extremely difficult to combine all those qualities in a new guitar.

The tension is medium, and the height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard, very balanced, all of which provides the guitar with an easy performance and a high degree of comfort for both hands.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is new.
