This flamenco guitar was made by the master luthier Manuel Reyes (son) in 2024. Manuel Reyes Maldonado´s son, he succeeded in learning and developing his father´s teachings, after sharing the workshop, and producing equally good guitars, regarding both the making and sound. It must be remarked the fact that in those first years of learning, those guitars were made by father and son together.

The wood used for the top is German spruce, and spanish Cypress for back and sides. The top has a very accentuated grain, completely straight and uniform. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, with an outstanding quality and beauty.

This is one of the first guitars by Manuel Reyes son that he signs with the name “Manuel Reyes,” leaving behind the “hijo” distinction in his label and signature.

In this exceptional flamenco concert guitar, one can appreciate a broad, powerful, and rounded sound, with unparalleled projection and truly astonishing tonal clarity. Manuel Reyes Sr. was distinguished by extraordinary delicacy and precision in the craftsmanship, even surpassing that of his son. However, from an acoustic perspective, the sound of Manuel Reyes Jr.’s guitars is more appealing to us. His creations embody the authentic “blanca” concert guitar, a feat also achieved by his father, but with greater projection and considerably more robust and powerful trebles. Furthermore, Manuel Reyes Jr. has managed to impart a distinctive timbre to his guitars, allowing knowledgeable experts to distinguish them from his father’s, although both share the same essence.

The strings height and adjustment which this guitar allows is simply perfect, this permits an extremely comfortable touch in both hands and an increase in fluidity when playing the instrument.

Its condition is excellent and completely original, with no cracks or repairs of any kind.
