This flamenco guitar was built by luthier Pedro Muriel in 2026. This guitar maker, based in Herrera (Seville), began his journey into guitar making driven by his deep passion for the flamenco guitar. Throughout his career, and thanks to his constant desire to deepen his knowledge of the art of lutherie, he has had the opportunity to share countless conversations and meetings with some of the greatest guitar makers of our time, including Manuel Reyes and Francisco Barba, from whom he has gained invaluable knowledge and experience. He has also shared a workshop with Francisco Sánchez, where, thanks to the master’s generosity, he has been able to develop and refine his current concept of guitar making. Through his hands have passed guitars built by some of the most important luthiers in history, including Gerundino Fernández, Manuel Reyes, Francisco Barba, Santos Hernández, Antonio de Torres and Marcelo Barbero, among many others. This has enabled him to study their different construction styles in great detail and acquire a profound understanding of the handcrafted guitar, establishing himself as one of today’s most distinguished guitar makers.

The sound of this concert flamenco guitar reaches an unsurpassed level of quality, worthy of the most demanding concert stages. An instrument of the highest class in every respect, with a unique voice and tonal character capable of impressing even the most discerning guitarist. Its redwood soundboard, with its distinctive grain and the natural crystallization of its fibres and resins, delivers an exceptional acoustic response, combining the speed and clarity of cedar with the warmth and depth of spruce. The result is a perfect balance of brilliance and sweetness, creating a flamenco sound with its own unmistakable personality. It offers an almost surgical balance between the brightness and depth of the bass strings, producing exceptionally authentic flamenco strumming while delivering highly percussive bass notes that make the entire body of the instrument resonate. A true work of art by a luthier who, in our opinion, is undoubtedly one of the finest master guitar makers of our time.

The string action and overall setup of this guitar are simply perfect, providing exceptional comfort for both hands and allowing the player to perform with maximum ease and fluidity.
