This flamenco guitar was built by master luthier Ricardo Sanchís Carpio from Valencia in 2007. His guitars are highly acclaimed, especially in the world of flamenco, where they have been seen on stages around the world in the hands of guitarists such as Pedro Sierra, Tomatito, José Andrés Cortés… among many others.
The woods that make up this flamenco guitar are of exceptional quality. The soundboard is made of German spruce, with a straight and even grain across its entire surface. The back and sides are crafted from top-quality Cocobolo, featuring truly beautiful coppery reflections. These woods were carefully selected and underwent an optimal drying and curing process. The finish is typical of Ricardo’s style: simple yet elegant.
Unfortunately, the Sanchís workshop has permanently closed its doors, and from now on we can only enjoy his unmistakable guitars up until its closure at the beginning of 2025. The model we are offering, R.S.C., was the top-of-the-line model built by Ricardo Sanchís Carpio during this period, a fact that sets it apart both acoustically and aesthetically from the rest of the models.
The sound it delivers is spectacular, both in terms of power and acoustic quality. It has that versatile flamenco timbre reminiscent of renowned makers such as Hermanos Conde or Pedro de Miguel. The basses are deep and full-bodied, while the trebles are sharp and bright, a true delight for any guitarist and lover of fine sound.
The action is medium, with perfect and balanced string height at both saddle and fingerboard, providing great comfort for both hands and facilitating effortless playability.
Its condition is excellent and completely original, with no cracks or repairs of any kind.
