Alper Kargin

Born in Istanbul, his musical career began at the age of 15 playing in different musical groups, as well as accompanying renowned artists from his country. Despite being an artist with knowledge and interest in different musical styles, flamenco has always been his passion. He studied in Bilgi University with full scholarships where he studied jazz with great maestros, such as Donovan Mixon or Ricky Ford. After graduating from Bilgi University, he continued his academic career at Haliç University, getting a master’s degree in music.

His latest projects have been concerts, mostly. A tribute to Paco de Lucía and a tour accompanying the Maestro Jose Monje “Serranito” around Turkey. At the moment he is preparing his first solo album, meaning to merge Turkish music and jazz with flamenco as a common style. A really interesting proposal which is sure to be excellently reviewed.
