This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Felipe Conde, in his workshop, located in 4 Arrieta Street, 2012. Felipe Conde is currently the greatest representative of one of the most prestigious firms of Spanish guitar in history: Hermanos Conde. It is inevitable, just like when we talk about Hermanos Conde we all recall Paco de Lucía with his inseparable guitar from this firm, the same as Pepe Habichuela, Moraito Chico, Cepero, and an endless list of artists who captivated us with their music, born from pure genius and inspiration, where the instrument plays an essential role in the musician´s creative process. Well, this is precisely the secret of the firm. Hermanos Conde succeeded in instilling a very characteristic sound into their guitars. It was different from all the other ones, which the great musicians of that time loved, so the artist felt deeply linked to that sound when they composed and interpreted their music.
The woods employed for this guitar is German spruce for the top and Madagascar rosewood for back and sides. The top has got a very marked, straight and even grain along its whole surface. The back and sides are made of Madagascar rosewood, with an outstanding quality and beauty.
This model of flamenco guitar, FC27 with shellac varnish, is one of the most wanted instruments in the second-hand market. One of the things we are most impressed about is its timbre, as it has the typical nuances of “used” guitars, in the good sense, with this “wooden” and “hollow” sound we like so much. In addition, it offers extraordinary scope and quality, thanks to the extreme quality of the woods employed to create it. Despite the great deal of time devoted to playing this guitar and the shellac varnish, more delicate than others, this instrument is in an unbelievably good condition, with very few marks from its use.
The strings height and adjustment which this guitar allows is simply perfect, this permits an extremely comfortable touch in both hands and an increase in fluidity when playing the instrument.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
