Flamenco guitar Felipe Conde FC28 2022

This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Felipe Conde, in his workshop, located in 4 Arrieta Street, 2022. Felipe Conde is currently the greatest representative of one of the most prestigious firms of Spanish guitar in history: Hermanos Conde. It is inevitable, just like when we talk about Hermanos Conde we all recall Paco de Lucía with his inseparable guitar from this firm, the same as Pepe Habichuela, Moraito Chico, Cepero, and an endless list of artists who captivated us with their music, born from pure genius and inspiration, where the instrument plays an essential role in the musician´s creative process. Well, this is precisely the secret of the firm. Hermanos Conde succeeded in instilling a very characteristic sound into their guitars. It was different from all the other ones, which the great musicians of that time loved, so the artist felt deeply linked to that sound when they composed and interpreted their music.

The woods employed for this guitar is German spruce for the top and Madagascar rosewood for back and sides. The top has got a very marked, straight and even grain along its whole surface. The back and sides are made of Madagascar rosewood, with an outstanding quality and beauty.

This guitar has surprised us so much, as it is a guitar model which we associate to a very particular sound of the Felipe V period… but not at all!! Felipe has managed to obtain a really different timbre in all his guitars, thus permanently changing the concept we had of their instruments. As a result, they are even better than they were before, and the standard was fairly high… These instruments have reached a brand new level, this is definitely something else, getting so much closer to the timbre of the 70s. Besides, as you know, we are partial to this timbre. In this guitar we find a bass sound much more solid than the one obtained through strumming. Really strong, and perfectly balanced on the trebles. This is exactly where the difference is made: In this kind of guitar, trebles often used to be above the bass strings.

The tension is medium, very comfortable for both hands, due to the reduced height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any kind of cracks or repairs whatsoever.
