This flamenco guitar has been made by the master luthier Felipe Conde, in his workshop, located in 4 Arrieta Street, 2018, after starting to work on his own, and not with his brother Mariano Conde, his guitars have got only his name, nobody else´s, leaving behind Hermanos Conde´s brand name and making a fresh start.
This guitar is part of one of the most exciting projects we have ever taken part in: An exact replica of our guitar “La Invencible”.
For this project, we have counted on the collaboration of some of the very best guitar makers in the world: Simon Ambridge, Felipe Conde, John Ray and Gabriele Lodi.
Each maker has performed a down-to-detail study of the guitar with the utmost accuracy so as to be able to reproduce the smallest detail of this fine instrument: Wood thicknesses, dimensions, fan bracing, wood grain, pulsation… everything has been cared for. As a result, the customer will be able to feel how accurate the reproduction really is, being able to truly enjoy and feel they are holding the one and only “Invincible” guitar in their hands.
The woods of this guitar are excellent, of the highest quality available, selecting cuts with similar grains to the original intrument. The German spruce top has quite a straight, marked and even grain. The back and sides are made of Madagascar rosewood, a breathtakingly beautiful wood, with impressive acoustic qualities. The finishes are reatrained and elegant. Scheller pegboxes, exact replica of the tuners in the original guitar “La Invencible”, by Antonio de Torres, in 1884 (SEE).
This guitar is no doubt our favourite replica so far. Felipe has succeeded in creating a sound “Torres-like” like few people could today. Its beating and comfort are out of this world. This guitar model drives the classical or flamenco performer crazy, and definitely marks a before and after on the vision of the guitar as a concert instrument at all times.
The tension is soft, and the height of string in saddle and fingerboard, perfect, being extremely comfortable to play. It is not easy at all to describe the potential which can be unleashed just by stroking the strings.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completly original, without any cracks or repairs.
