This flamenco guitar was built by master luthier Isidro Garrido in 1984. Born in 1922 in Granada, Isidro Garrido is one of Granada’s great luthiers, alongside names like Antonio Marín Montero and Manuel de la Chica, although he may be somewhat less known to the general public. His first contact with woodworking came at the age of 14 as a cabinetmaker. In 1948, he began building guitars, learning from master Eduardo Ferrer and later from Rafael Morales. His guitars are highly exclusive and difficult to find due to the low production volume, as he only built a few guitars each year.

The woods used in this flamenco guitar are of the highest quality available. The soundboard is made of German spruce, with very pronounced, straight, and uniform grain that attests to its quality. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood with straight grain and beautiful tonal variations. The finishes are sober and elegant.

This is a perfect instrument; it has everything you would ask for in a guitar: power, volume, projection, character… with a gorgeous flamenco tone that strongly reminds us of the best guitars by master Gerundino. In short, a unique and top-tier instrument to be enjoyed endlessly for a lifetime.

The action is medium, and the string height at both the saddle and fretboard is perfect and well-balanced, offering great comfort for both hands and facilitating the guitarist’s performance.

The condition is excellent and original, with no cracks or repairs of any kind.
