This flamenco guitar was made by the young guitar-maker Jerónimo Pérez de Algodonales, in Cadiz, the year 2024. This artisan has managed to be recognised as one of the most promising guitar builders in such a short period of time, due to his own merits and his marvelous instruments. In them, he joins together a careful and dedicated construction along with the best sound, having its own personality. With this, he managed to have guitarists such as Antonio Rey, Paco Cepero, Diego del Morao, Miguel Salado, Bolita, Jesús Guerrero, Antonio Moya… etc. coming to his workshop looking for one of these instruments.
This guitar is made with high quality and beautiful woods. The top is made of canadian cedar, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of Madagascar rosewood with a straight grain and breathtakingly beautiful shades, providing the guitar with great beauty and elegance.
The sound of this guitar is spectacular, the combination of Madagascar rosewood and cedar, as we have commented on other occasions, is a safe bet which guarantees a big, clear sound with projection. These are qualities which a great concert guitar must have, and this is precisely what this instrument offers us in abundance. Jerónimo managed to gather everything which could be asked for in a flamenco concert guitar, with big powerful sound and a very personal and unmistakable flamenco timbre. All of these features result, of course, in a high recognition of this luthier as one of the very best of this new prolific generation.
The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium, and the height of strings in saddle and fingerboard is very reduced. The height on the fret 12 is 2.0 mm! The fluidity with which the left hand works across the fingerboard together with the comfort of the touch of the right hand, thanks to a marked ‘rebound effect’, make it one of the most comfortable guitars we have tried over the years.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is brand new.
