This flamenco guitar has been made by the guitar maker Jesús de Jiménez, from Sevilla. His guitars have been played by very popular performers, such as Paco de Lucía, Manolo Franco, Niño de Pura… being highly regarded in the last decade. He is probably one of the most promising guitar makers today.
The different woods in this flamenco guitar are of the top existing quality. The top is made of german spruce, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood, with a straight grain and beautiful tones. The finishing is elegant and sober.
The sound of this flamenco guitar is truly spectacular. It possesses that explicit, hollow, and dry flamenco timbre, characteristic of the finest guitars. The bass strings are bright and very direct, leaving the sensation of absolute and unrestrained projection in the instrument’s body. The treble strings are clear and crystalline, very aggressive, and they unfold a wide variety of harmonics all along the fretboard, which are magnified by the perfect and precise tuning provided by this guitar.
This guitar has the highly-valued “rebound beating” on the right hand, combined with fantastic softness on the left one, thus accomplishing the “perfect instrument”, should we want to spend hours and hours playing non-stop with a nice feeling of ease.
Its condition is excellent and completely original, without any cracks or repairs whatsoever.
