This great flamenco guitar has been made by the guitar maker Jesús de Jiménez, from Sevilla. His guitars have been played by very popular performers, such as Paco de Lucía, Manolo Franco, Niño de Pura… being highly regarded in the last decade. He is probably one of the most promising guitar makers today.
During this year 2017, Jesús de Jiménez has introduced some modifications in the making process of his guitars, with which has reached the highest levels of comfort and artistic quality in every instrument made.
This fine instrument has been made with top quality woods which have followed an optimal seasoning process, thus being incredibly light and beautiful. The canadian cedar top has got an excellent grain, very marked and even all along its surface. The cypress in back and sides is of straight cut, totally homogeneous, simply perfect. The finishing is elegant and sober.
The sound coming out of this guitar is simply spectacular, because of the volume in particular and the quality in general: the basses are powerful and deep, with an incredibly flamenco sound. The trebles are well-defined, with an amazing scope.
The tension of this flamenco guitar is medium, and the height of strings in saddle and fingerboard is reduced. The height on the fret 12 is 2,5 millimeters, which allows our left hand to do its job very easily and fluently.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is new.
