Flamenco guitar José López Bellido 1980

This flamenco guitar was built by the renowned guitar maker José López Bellido, one of the most recognized luthiers in Granada. His guitars have seen the stages around the world in the hands of large concert both classical and flamenco.

The wood used for the top is German spruce, and spanish Cypress for back and sides. The top has a very accentuated grain, completely straight and uniform. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, with an outstanding quality and beauty.

The sound coming out of this guitar is just spectacular. It combines volume and quality excellently. The bass stops are powerful and deep, and the trebles, crystal clear and with great scope. A sound with its own personality, capable of captivating us since the very first chord.

This guitar has got medium tension, and a reduced height of strings in the saddle and fingerboard, providing the guitarist with a high degree of comfort for both hands, as well as an easy performance.

The condition of this guitar is really good. It only has a small crack on the wide side of the bottom, as you can see in the images attached. It is perfectly repaired, exclusively with glue, due to its location and little importance. The shellac on the bottom has some wear marks, due to its use, in the center. However, with its sound quality, we have decided to preserve the originality of this fine instrument, just the way it truly is.
