This guitar was built by the renowned luthier José López Bellido in 1985, one of the most respected guitar makers from Granada. His guitars have appeared on stages all over the world in the hands of great classical and flamenco concert performers.
This guitar has been crafted using an excellent selection of fine tonewoods. The soundboard is made of German spruce, featuring a beautiful straight and uniform grain, while the back and sides are made from stunning Indian rosewood of exceptional quality and natural beauty. The combination of these woods provides the instrument with great tonal richness and an elegant, timeless appearance.
Its sound is truly spectacular, with tremendous projection and a very balanced response across the entire fingerboard. It delivers deep and round basses together with clear, sweet trebles full of nuances. Although it is a classical guitar, it possesses a tonal character that can perfectly adapt to flamenco playing, offering great definition, quick response, and excellent note separation — qualities highly appreciated by flamenco guitarists as well.
Regarding playability and comfort, this guitar offers a very pleasant playing experience. The string action is slightly higher than that commonly found on traditional flamenco guitars, giving it a more classical setup. Nevertheless, it can be perfectly adjusted for flamenco playing by lowering the action, achieving a lower, faster, and more comfortable feel without losing the instrument’s outstanding acoustic quality.
The condition of this guitar is excellent and completely original, with no cracks or repairs of any kind, remaining in magnificent structural and aesthetic condition.
