This flamenco guitar was made by the guitar maker José Ruiz Pedregosa, from Marmolejo (Jaén). He is related to Jerónimo Peña.
The different woods in this flamenco guitar are of the top existing quality. The top is made of german spruce, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood, with a straight grain and beautiful tones. The overall finish and the carving on the bridge and head are extremely elaborate, down to the smallest detail. This is a hallmark of this guitar maker since its inception.
Its spectacular sound and marked character are other great features of this work of art. The basses are quite powerful but also deep. The trebles are vivid, crystal clear, with great scope and sustain.
The tension of the flamenco guitar is medium, this added to the reduced height of the strings at the bridge and fingerboard gives to the guitarist a great comfort in either hand.
The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original, without any crack or repair whatsoever.
